Skippy was an Australian made show in the late 60's about a Kangaroo that was "very bright" (like Rin Tin Tin or Lassie) and was released in many countries around the world including the US and Canada.
"Skippy" or "Skip" is used as a derogatory term for Australians f Anglo Saxon descent.
