| From my own understanding of Submarine operation in the modern period, this same pressure drop still causes ears to pop and make it a little uncomfortable for the sub crew....lots of aspects of modern operations are exactly the same as WW2....will we ever find a capital ship to compare with the submarine?....diesel elctrics are still very difficult to detect when submerged and on battery power, and all the gadgets have not changed this....subs are only going to get quieter, and technological instruments can only be so sensitive... |
