Crusades are made to capture some of the christian sacred citys who are controled by muslims, but the goal of the crusaders were political power, and power of the chatholic church over orthodox church.So crusaders killed more christians then muslims. Don't forget that the crusaders aren't only knights in shining armor, most of the crusade army are beggars who hope to gain some personal wealth, or to escape from there vassals.
There are many crusades that passed trough Bulgaria and they killed many Bulgarian civilians and looted our houses.Thats why we stoped the 4th Crusade and killed the crusaders.If the pope allowed us to chose our own bishop we would be catholics now
