| Nothing more from Div History but in Ken Ford's book Battleaxe Division it says HARTFORCE made up of,
'A' company, Carrier Pln, & section of AT guns from 5 Northants.
With squadron of armd cars from 56 Recce, AA guns & sappers.
All units of 11 Bde contribued vehicles to make it fully motorised column.
16 Nov Hartforce left support vehicles at Tebarka and went forward as lorried infantry.
Went thru village of Djebel Aboid & took road to Mateur.
Came across enemy force stronger than his so took to hills and resorted to guerilla warfare joined up with 36 Bde few days later. |
