If I rememebr correctly....the first US Soldiers across were from the 27th Armored Infantry Battalion which was attached to the 9th Armored Division.

Being new here, I didn't want to assume anything.
I know plenty of people who refuse to visit the German cemeteries. If they are close by to other things I'm visiting, I always take the opportunity to pay a visit.
