Get file>Google Earth, and switch on the overlay for birthplaces and potted biography.
Presumably this means there's scope for overlays of where the award was gained too, or it's already been done by somebody somewhere. I found these after noticing some VC winners marked on another set of WW2 overlays I use, so they may be available in more comprehensive form somewhere. Still looking.
