Lightbulb Update on WW2 Society

Well, 8th May - our proposed formation date - came and went. I was actually in France - nice to see VE Day remembered with a public holiday and flags on every war memorial.

I am afraid real life has got in the way in recent months (blame the BBC), and I am no further forward with this. A number of people (outside this forum) who promised to help on a committee cried off, and with the best will the world, I cannot do all this alone.

So I am going to spend the next year head-hunting a committee and take it from there, with a proposed proper launch on 8th May 2009.

If you feel you could help on a committee, please get in touch. However, it won't suit people with only limited spare time, and for the moment I would only ask people based in the UK to get in touch.

I am particularly looking for someone to act as Treasurer.

On the plus side you will be helping to ensure WW2 is not forgotten and assisting in passing the torch on to the next generation.

More information when I have it.
