Not everyone who was involved that day is dead, far from it.

Major General Richard Rohmer, retired , was the RCAF Mustang recce pilot who called in a section of two RCAF spitfires, who attacked the HORCH car that Rommel was in.

Charley Fox, the Canadian section leader that day , is very much alive and kicking. To read the webpage that contains his account of that day on July 17th, 1944, at 17:05 hrs, go here.
