My grandfather served on this ship and I have been researching trying to figure out what it is and see if I can find any service records of where it had been to. I have searched everywhere I can think of to no avail. I know at one time he served in both Atlantic and Pacific fleets but was primarily in the Pacific (he actually ran into one of his brothers while on shore leave in the Pacific). The ship appears to have the #25 on it and it doesn't appear to be any kind of combat ship. From what I know it was some type of support ship. I don't know what he did on the ship, he died before I was born. Any help you can give to shed some light on my grandpa is greatly appreciated!
