Those V.C. / M.M. groups are special, aren't they ? What a shame that the background info is limited to the original citation. There must be much more that could be said about their careers. One group includes the present Queen and the other commences in South Africa. |

It's a nice place to have the Mess too! The info was basic admittedly, but at least these medals had photos etc. alongside them. I am sorry that I didn't have peace to photograph them all and to do it properly.
The Guards Museum at Wellington barracks has a lovely display of VCs etc close to the entrance, but you'd have to go back and forward to a folder with laminated photocopied sheets to read up on the recipients!
The prices that the gift shops were charging, you'd think the original baubles were being sold there. Pleased to say my daughter, spent her money in this Museum shop!
