| E. W. Swanton, the former Daily Telegraph cricket correspondent & BBC commentator, was also captured at Singapore. He had a copy of Wisden with him, which was passed round the camp over the next 3 1/2 years. The well thumbed volume is now in the museum at Lords.
There was an article in Wisden Cricket Monthly about 20 years ago about a camp in Poland containing POWs from a number of Commonwealth countries. Test Matches between Australia, England, New Zealand & South Africa were played.
