Brigadier ' Jerry ' Shiel CRA 51st HD was blown up and killed when his jeep ran over a mine outside Bremen on 20th April 1945.
He is mentioned a lot in ' Monty's Highlanders' by Patrick Delaforce ISBN 0-75370-352-1
