Sadly it is a 'what if'. But interesting all the same. Why do you say there was no will to fight a war? Is it because it hadn't affected the british 'way of life' at that stage?

France and Britain had no will to fight Germany. If as you say they had a good chance to 'nip it in the bud' so to speak without a will to fight its wasnt going to happen. Very dangerous to get into a war without the will to win it.
