There was some shoting in and around Notre Dame during the service held there on the day after liberation. De Gaulle was present and notably refused to take cover.
As far as I know, this was just sniping and not an attempt to destroy the cathedral. The French forces which fired back were, I believe, police and FFI. I have no knowledge of SAS involvement and I have never heard of SAS being deployed in the Paris area in WWII.
