Hi all,

I have done some research on a realative of mine L/Cpl Harry Harman and have got this from the WG Commission:

Name: HARMAN, HARRY
Initials: H

Rank: Lance Corporal
Regiment: East Yorkshire Regiment, 50th Div(Duke of York's Own), 69th brigade
Unit Text: 5th Bn.
Age: 30

Date of Death: 11/06/1944 KIA at Tilly sur Seulles. It is possible that he was killed by shrapnel, from a tank or building, however is it not certain.

Service No: 4342693
Additional information: Son of Alice Harman; husband of Florence Josephine Harman, of Hull.
Casualty Type: Commonwealth War Dead
Grave/Memorial Reference: II. C. 2.
Cemetery: HOTTOT-LES-BAGUES WAR CEMETERY

Army Roll of Honour-WW11 Info
Born & Residence-Hull

(Sorry for spamming all that :P )

I am trying to find out more detailed information about him. I bought 'The Story of the 5th battalion, The East Yorkshire Regiment TA' byt L.M. Garwood there was not much information in here.

It did say that the attack on Tilly sur Suelles started on the 14th June, yet the information i found says he died on the 11th.

Does anyone know where i can get more detailed information?

thanks,

Robert
