I remember seeing this when it was first released and a couple of times since. In the film, her poem, used for encoding messages and unique to each agent, was something Szabo had learned from her late husband.
It was a revelation, therefore, to read in
Between Silk and Cyanide by Leo Marks, who worked in SOE's code section, that it was just a piece of doggerel he had made up.
