Hi paul

I have a book called: Fighter command losses of the second world war,
it is by Norman L r franks and published by midland publishing ltd (£12.95 when bought 3 yrs ago)

Gives full fighter losses, pilot losses dates and where possible which german unit shot it down, from 1939 to end of 41 plus there is a sequel to it, taking in the rest of the war, just the north european theater is covered.

140 pilots were Kia, 43 wounded and 30 P.O.W.

9th may 1 hurricane lost
10th may 12 hurricanes lost
11th may 13 hurricanes lost
12th may 11 hurricanes lost
13th may 14 hurricanes lost
14th may 24 hurricanes lost
15th may 15 hurricanes lost
16th may 12 hurricanes lost
17th may 10 hurricanes lost
18th may 32 hurricanes lost
19th may 27 hurricanes lost
20th may 12 hurricanes lost
21st may 3 hurricanes lost
22nd may 7 hurricanes lost
23rd may 7 hurricanes, 6 spitfires lost
24th may 4 hurricanes, 3 spitfires lost
25th may 3 hurricanes, 4 spitfires lost
26th may 4 hurricanes, 6 spitfires lost
27th may 13 hurricanes, 7 spitfires lost
28th may 8 hurricanes, 3 spitfires and 3 defiants lost
29th may 8 hurricanes, 7 spitfires and 4 defiants lost

31st may 10 hurricanes, 7 spitfires, 3 defiants and 1 gladiator lost
1st june 9 hurricanes, 11 spitfires lost

further to this list a further 64 hurricanes were lost and not pinned down to a time or place making a grand total of 329 hurricanes, 63 spitfires, 10 defiants and 1 gladiator lost from may 9th to 6th june.
