| I had always thought that the 8th Kings Royal Irish Hussars, as the 7th Armoured Division's Recce Regiment was equipped mainly with Cromwell Tanks with some Stuarts in the Recce troop. I have discovered from recent research on the net that they may also have been equipped with Challenger tanks.
I wonder if any one could point me to a source that would give the exact equipment used by the regiment when it arrived in France on 9th June 1944.
I know they also had Daimler Scout Cars, and other ancillary vehicles, i.e Jeeps, I would like to find out what other vehicles and equipment they used at this time.
