Hello

I am trying to find a book written about the foiled Nazi escape attempt at Le Marchant POW Camp, Devizes in December 1944. My Grandfather was an Officer at the Camp at the time and alerted the authorities apparently. My Uncle has read a book some years ago, which he had got out of the Library, and this book mentiond my Grandfather's name, William Michael Spreckley. He has no idea what the title of the book was called. My aunt also read a book mentioning my Grandfather some years earlier.

The story is well documented but a Google search doesn't seem to find any book titles, except a recent book 'For Fuhrer and Fatherland' written by Roderick De Normann.

I would really like to find this book. Any ideas welcome.
