Boulogne being the nearest French port, I need to know the best way to get to Hesdin from there. I had thought of contacting the battlefield guided tour operators but as there are only four servicemen buried there I didn't think they would have Hesdin in their intinary. Would a taxi from Boulogne cost too much?
Any advice welcome

You will find that there are about 4 trains a day from Boulogne to Hesdin and back,backed up by coach between the two towns.
However,Auchy les Hesdin is on the main line from Boulogne via Etaples to
Arras and is the next stop out of Hesdin.It should be possible to complete the whole journey of about 1 hour by rail.
