 Normandy visit
Hello everyone.
My family and the in-laws are driving to Normandy this weekend to visit the beaches and the surrounding museums etc. (in particular Sword beach where my wifes grandfather landed). This is 'take two', as we tried last December but only got as far as Le Havre due to fog, snow and gales! Slept in a French petrol station and came back again. All good fun!!
We are armed with the Major and Mrs Holt's Battlefield Guide (the Somme one was excellent, so I am hoping this one will be too) and a list of places to visit. But I wondered if any of you fine fellows out there, could give me your 'Top 5' list of the best places to visit as our time is unfortunately limited to two days.
It would be much appreciated.
