I found this on the Geological Society's website- Geology of the D-Day Landings in Normandy 1944
Not a new book, but it provides coverage of both the build up to the landings, and how the local geology affected the following campaign.
I also found this one Geology of the Western Front 1914-18 which will probably interest a few people here too.
