I know the 60th was only the other week, but the general feeling amongst all I spoke to, especially the veterans, is that it should continue... so does anyone know of any events already planned for next year?

Dont know of any yet but I was so disappointed at not getting over this year. It was just the biggest event to not miss.

I am keen to make sure I get in early for some holidays for next year so I can get across.

So, very eager to hear if anyone has plans to go over or if there are any trips being run.

I plan to be there for the 61st as my eldest daughter and son have been invited to lay posies in the Airborne Cemetery at Oosterbeek with Robert Sigmond's son. Very pleased to meet up with anybody else making the trip.

New memorial unveiled this year at Westerbouwing to 1 BORDER is on the cafe itself, Courtesy of Mjhr Giebing the owner. Lakeland slate tablet just to left of main door - looks a treat and much admired by the veterans this year.

Thanks for that info about the 1/Border memorial. I didn't know about that - something to look for on the next trip.

I will also be there for the anniversary; hope we meet!
