I'm not sure if this was posted before but in Ireland its never been that popular due to the troubles in the North. However its starting to gain poularity and I think its a noble and wonderful sentiment.

To repeat myself, I hadn't realised the enamel badge was for RBL members only, I have four of them, bought two last year and this year at Chatsworth Country Fair from the RBL stand. I wear one all year round, but still give a lot of money to the collecting tin each year. Quick question, is the poppy sold in Germany for their veterans, or do they do something different? And i know what is as rare as hens teeth, the poppy umbrella. Black, but when opened the entire centre is the poppy. Can't get one for love nor money. |
