Hands down, the Douglas DC-3 / C-47. Nothing else comes close. The Soviets and Japanese copied it. Everybody used it. It served in military service with the US into the 70's and in other nations virtually to today. This aircraft is still being flown in civilian use.
What other aircraft that was in use in WW 2 can match that record?

The Seafire was not as good as the spitfire because of the various modifications need to make it capable of operating from a carrier

The Spitfire was a fine defensive fighter and remained a top interceptor throughout the war. But, offensively it lacked range. For example, in the Pacific it went largely unused even when available due to its short range.
And, since the question was "which plane" not fighters alone was the top Allied aircraft I can't see where the Spitfire fits that bill.
