from a book called Hells Highway by George E. Koskimaki, 2nd Battalion 501st were at Heteren, says they moved into position along the dyke between Heteren and Driel. They had dug in on the leeward side of the dyke that lead along the road from Opheusden to the railroad viaduct that crossed over to the Arnhem area.

hope it helps.
