Redhill Steam Fair Aug 11th - WW2 content

I'm going to the Redhill Steam Fair (weather etc permitting) this Saturday because
1) I like steam traction engines, and
2) My wife wants the house to herself for a day.

Home - Redhill Steam Fair (Now returned to Kingsmill Lane, Redhill)

I haven't been there before but the website suggests that there is some military and WW2 content. If any of the rest of you are likely to be going, tell me and we can arrange to meet.

I shall be bringing my two daughters. I shall tell them we are going to a fair and omit the word "steam".

As a small child I used to get all overexcited about going to a steam fair. i used to love the traction engines and steam carousels. I am sad.

Hang on, its Chelford steam fair this weekend, I am not working. Maybe saturday if I can wing it? Been informed I am going to the Dams on Sunday. Hmm, food for thought

Going to the Dams? As in, the only Dams worth looking at in the UK due to their association? Or have I got overexcited?

Nothing wrong with old steam. Pretty bloody clever to have it still running. I'm more of one to look at the vehicles that carted the steam gear to the show though!

Yes, I am visiting the Dambusters Museum at the Derwent again. More money spent probably.

Are there others in the UK worth worrying about? I think not! LOL.

I wonder how long it's been since PA474 did a run over them? Mmmm, Merlins.

Hmm, I need to adjust my signature...
