![]() | Troops treated like vermin
I hope Otto doesn't mind me posting this here but I feel it is very interesting and relevent to many of our members. Troops treated like vermin, veterans tell Queen - Telegraph Quote:
![]() Hopefully the Queen will use her remaining powers to embaress the ministers involved in this disgusting treatment of our forces.

Sadly, George Kay, recently suffered a heart attack and is currently in hospital recovering. I've had the pleasure of meeting him and his friend Ricky Clitheroe a couple of times and I'm sure I speak for everyone in wishing George a speedy and full recovery. Get well soon George.................

Has the Telegraph got something wrong (God forbid) or is it me? Can a 87 year old man have a 28 year old son? ![]() I wonder if coming from Catford has anything to do with it ![]() As for the arguements for a military hospital...If I was coming home wounded I'd rather go into a civilian staffed hospital than a military staffed hospital. They also say: Quote:
Speedy recovery to the Sarth Larndan chap too ![]() Cheers Andy

Hello Drew, I think you may have got your wires crossed a bit mate. Ricky Clitherore is from Catford (on the right in the pic) and as far as I know he is still in good health. George Kay (on the left in the pic) is the guy who has sadly had the heart attack. I have to agree with the "Sarf London" comment though. They don't make 'em quite the same anywhere else! ![]() All the best, Paul.............

Cheers for the correction Paul, Reading Newspapers has never been a strong point for Catfordians-Especially such a posh one - we prefer the Kentish Mercury and the South London Press
