Not all US Beers are bad. I like Coors and Samuel Adams as lagers. Quite refreshing. To me they wipe the floor with Carlsberg and Heineken

I've never had urine, so I can't comment, but I have had the Czech version which is good, and unfortunately have also had the US version, which is a sorry excuse for a beverage. Chicago has some great local breweries but some of the best beers I have had are back in my homeland, the Great White North. One of the best as far a great pilsners go is Creemore Springs which is worth it's weight in gold. It has good ingredients, no preservatives and no pasteurization, so it must be constantly refrigerated or immediately drunk. I prefer the latter.

Not at all Erich, but if it came down to it, I'd take the warm piss over the Budweiser myself.

I'm a believer in drinking local beer from the smallest scale producer that I can find. I have to confess that last time that I was in Bohemia, Budvar didn't taste any better than a number of the other beers there.

As Jeff says, a number of the US micro-breweries are getting a really top reputation for themselves at the moment and If I'm ever there, that's what I'll be asking for !

Nothing chilled and bottom-fermented tastes like Harvey's Christmas ale though !

Harveys

Wonder if they'll give me a discount for the free advertising ?

I miss King & Barnes...

Received harsh looks from the beardys last time I was in Lewes as I ordered IPA in revolt against their interminable muttering about Harveys and the sodding brewery controversy.

Enlighten me Adam, I've been out of the country too long. What's going on ? I used to enjoy a pint of K&B in the Plough in Rusper even though it used to mean riding round in circles with the signposts continually showing the same distance and the ceiling was too low to stand up straight !
