The true figure of British & Commonwealth dead for D Day has never been published. I can tell you from my own research that it was just over 1,800 dead.

Hope that helps - good luck with your presentation.

What have you got in the way of photographs, newspaper front pages, or veterans' testimonies? Visual aids, as they say in American schools, are always useful. When we did the D-Day+60 event in City Hall this year, I got a lot of mileage out of my newspaper reprints. The WW2 vets cackled over the radio listings and the prices in the ads: $728 for a three-piece furniture set.

Your presentation.
Why not use my article on Schu and S mines as a thesis for presentation? Look for Sappers memoirs and there find the article.
If you make small changes, and understand yourself what it is about then, perhaps you will get top marks?
have a look at it, for the information concerning these mines is straight from the Sappers mouth.

The last a student used some of my info he got a good deal of praise and top marks.....
Best Wishes
