Briefly got my hands on the final proof copy of the long awaited book by John O'Reilly on the 156 Parachute Battalion at the weekend...... It's the size of an 'After the Battle' book about 400 pages and weighs around 2 kgs.....it looks good and is a well produced publication...plenty of photos and coloured maps..... The bad news is it will be £35 pus £7 postage from Mr O'Reilly in the UK...it's not really on the internet bookshops yet but my suggestion would be to order it via amazon or WH Smith if in the UK as they don't charge postage (especially if you pick it up from a WH Smith shop) and for all I know may offer it at less than £35........ |

Has Harry Bankhead and Jeffrey Powell contributed to the book? I can never think of 151/156 Battalion without those two popping into my mind.

Just this minute ordered it. It's a while since I bought an Arnhem book so I'm looking forward to getting it!

I've found it most interesting and I may have a few copies for sale at a discount.....watch this space... Another place to go is Welcome to "From Delhi To Arnhem" |
