Harry-Bernard-Roger Betts-Benson,

I recall that 'The Bill' went through a similar spate of medalitus a few years back. Every other burglary would reveal that some medals had either been stolen or end up in an evidence bag: I suppose some old boy/widow having their medals stolen engenders more pathos with the characters than if they lost a first edition Harry Potter book (£14,000!).
