Was it chuff. Check out the ship thread to find out why. But am currently a third of the way through D-Day Bombers: The Veterans Story about the run up to D-Day, during and after and the heavy bombers role in it, following 5 RAF and 3 USAAF crews. Very good so far.

As to upstairs, I was but ran out of log books before i ran out of time. And the WW2 section in the shop was rather good.

Re: What are you reading?

Just picked up the D- Day Dodger by J. M. Lee Harvey (published 1979) on ebay for £1.50.

I hope that it will give me a better insight into the conditions in Italy 1944-1945.

Re: What are you reading?

Just started "The Cat has Nine Lives" by Fred Robins. Author was an RAAF "Black Cat" Catalina pilot flying out of Darwin. Book is fictional story based on his experiences.

It's not very long at about 180 pages but is making a good read.

Cheers
