Fascinating English translation of a German training film, 'how not to be seen' done properly:

It's in 7 seperate parts, just follow the 'explore more video' links to the right.
Well worth a shufti.

I remember an episode of "Combat" years ago where one of the soldiers was a Botanist and could pick out the snipers due to their camouflage not matching their environment.

Being alone in that sort of environment concentrates/focuses one's attention wonderfully. Anything less wouldn't do.
