AMVAS is on a distinguished road
Thank you, gentlemen for the interest to my "RKKA in WWII" site.
I really try to take care about it for a long time period...
Unfortunately less than 1% of my materials are processed and I have almost no hope to finish this process...

But I'm still trying my best...
This month can't promise much updates, as I'm very busy with my students, but in January I hope to have time for large update...

regards,
Alex

Thx... I prefer brief topics... Large debates needs too much time

Hi, Owen...
If you noticed, I always give links to my sources at the bottom of each page.
So, you can see I employed the next books:

I. Moshchanskiy, E. Kharitonova, "Na Dalnykh podstupakh k Moskve. Vyazemsko-Brianskaya strategicheskaya oboronitelnaya operatsiya 30 sentiabria-30 oktiabria 1941 goda. Sukhoputnye Sily RKKA", Voyennaya Letopis"/Military Chronicle, "Armii mira" No. 4, Moscow, 2003

I. Moschankiy, I. Khokhlov, "Boi u ozera Khasan 29 Iyulia - 11 Avgusta 1938 goda", Voyennaya Letopis/Military Chronicle "Armii Mira" No. 2, Moscow, 2002.

I. Moshchanskiy, "Oborona Pribaltiki 22 Iyunia - 9 Iyulia 1941 goda", Voyennaya Letopis/Military Chronicle, Armii Mira No. 1, Moscow, 2002

M. Kolomiets. "Boi u reki Khalkhin-Gol", Frontovaya Illyustratsia, No 2/2002

P. Lipatov, "Uniforma Krasnoi Armii", Tekhnika-Molodezhi, 2001

I think you can buy some of those on
www.aviapress.com Their prices are quite reasonable

Uniform is not my main subject, though...

Oh yes so you did.
Sorry for not seeing the reference. I've just bought new glasses too.
Thanks for pointing that out.

Btw, Recently I bought one interesting book with many colored pictures in it (not for myself, but for my pal from Slovakia). Probably I can scan and upload some new uniform pictures from it

Russian E-bookshop link

I think one of the problems we have in understanding the Russian view of WW2 is the cyrillic alphabet, I can read a bit of French & German but as for Russian, no chance!
Does look good though.
