On the top left of the Portal Page, we now have a random WW2 casualty that should change daily.
Click it, and you'll go to the CWGC entry (or click with your mouse wheel to open it in a new tab).

Nobody's going to be surprised that this is down to a lump of code Geoff501 bolted together and gave to us.
Thanks Geoff!
(Will he ever tire of all this praise?)

It might take a bit more tweaking to get just right. Seems to work OK on the four main browsers; IE, Firefox, Chrome, Safari - If anyone notices anything odd about the way it displays, give us a shout.

Trux - 21st Army Group 1944/45. Now resting at WW2Talk

I'm pleased to announce that the rather useful 'Trux' website's information is now 'resting' within WW2Talk.

It's accessible here:
Trux - 21st Army Group 1944/45 - Units, Organisation & Equipment
Or from the links down the left hand side of the Portal.

As mentioned in this thread, the Owner - Mike - is having a bit of IT bother, and it looks like his fine site, which I'm sure many of us have used in the past, might fall by the wayside.
To prevent this happening, and with Mike's permission, I've just finished a rather epic bit of cut and paste, and hopefully reproduced all of the info within the forum software. A kind of 'permanent loan'; with the hard work being all Mike's it seems only right that he should retain ownership of it. Once I've finished tidying up a few loose ends I'll turn the 'Trux' profile I've used over to him (If he wants it).

The layout etc. may change, and it's quite possible that I've made a few errors in transcription, so if anyone spots anything amiss just give a shout on this thread.

Cheers to Noel B & Rich P for nudging me on this, and especially to Mike, who's info has been so useful to so many. It's a pleasure to help keep it online.

Cheers,
~Adam.

I registered yesterday for the first time and of course agreed to the rules. However, each time I've logged on since I've received a first page warning that I have not agreed to the forum rules. Quite apart from being incorrect I doubt that I would be allowed on the forum if I hadn't ticked the "agree rules" box. So what's going on please?
