TV Sunday 18 March BBC2 8pm - 9pm 'The Greatest Raid of All' One-off documentary in which Jeremy Clarkson explores the story of the WW2 commando raid on the dry dock of St. Nazaire, France, in March 1942. Special effects are used to recreate the raid in which 169 men lost their lives and more that 80 medals were awarded. |

| Sorry to say Gnomey I agree completely with MalcolmII, a blinder. I rail against the often cliched television presentation of military History and this was a breath of fresh air. Read of the raid many times but this really helped to visualise what those blokes did and the terrain they did it over. The veterans were most impressive and often very funny as well.
