A very nice film with BIG AND MASSIVE scenes about Stalingrad...

Oh, it must be realistic, that's very important.

marek_pk is on a distinguished road
My first film would be about the deportation to Siberia, and the suffering, of Poles and other ethnic groups by the Soviets.

I've said it before but...

'Band of'... Tommies in the Desert... (with as much early British/Commonwealth armour (and Grants and Early M4s) featuring as possible.)

Please.

(Failing this I really like Morse's suggestion of Dieppe, it could do with some quality coverage but I fear the story still isn't really clear enough for any film maker to touch without causing huge controversy/annoyance.)

In that case the film of this novel, read it back in early-80's.
Would be a great film, some very humourous episodes.

I think a film of the Luftwaffe suicide attack on the USAAF. Quite astounding.

Can't remember the book title. I think it was May 1945 the Luftwaffe mounted a last ditch attack on a USAAF bomber attack. Basically it was suicide as they had no ammo, only the aircraft they were in.

Its in the what are you reading thread, a page back i think
