The fearful shots of Barham going up (as cited by SD above) must be some of the most remarkable of the war.

Yep, drawn by my Father in POW camp in his YMCA log book.

Shows his Blenheim XD - L for leather V6258 of 139 Squadron shot down on 1st July 1941. The cartoon is showing Fw Fredriech-Karl Backmann coming in to finish them off.

Ditched in the sea and full crew taken ashore in a Heinkel He.59.

The sailor climbing up onto the plane has one large set of kahunas. Look at what he is standing on.

Thats just amazing photo. Tels you everything you need to know about WW2 in that shot. What an unbelivable 6 years in world history.
