Best WW2 Action Shot - Page 4

Shot down on the infamous 1st July 1941, with the loss of a Stirling from 7 Squadron and HSL 108 which both tried to save them from capture.

Escaped with Jimmy McCairns (one of the thirty) but ran the wrong way when challenged straight into the arms of a German soldier and his girl.

Moved from Dulag Luft to Stalag IXc, then Stalag Lufts 3 and 6 and then on to Thorn and Fallingbostal. Involved with tunneling but know no more. Spoke with a guy the other day who remembers him on the march north and the incident at Gresse.

Trying to track down his movements from Fallingbostal to home with some difficulty as records are scetchy but have a lot of other information from our freinds in Holland.

Will start up a POW art thread. Some real interesting stuff especially when you consider the theatres they ran. Look at some of the actors who were there.
