![]() ![]() ![]() | My Wife's Year 9s My wife is training to be a History teacher at present; she recently did a D Day project with her Year 9s. They were asked to come up with ideas of reflecting a personal story of someone involved in D Day. She put together various packs on the men and women involved - military and civilian - so they had an idea of the sort of people who took part, and they then had to go off and produce something. Some wrote diaries, others wrote letters, some put together newspapers, and these lads put together a video. Do have a look at it - maybe turn the volume down if you're not in thrash metal! - and while the lads are worried they might offend war veterans, I thought it was quite a novel way of putting soldiers in Normandy into context. When you see what one of their locations is, then you'll realise they have thought about this. Anyway, take a look:YouTube - D-Day, the year 9's story

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | I sound like an old fart now, that's not music , it's just a noise. ![]() Good point they made, it's not like playing soldiers. Have I got this sort of thing to look forward to as my little 'uns get older? |

![]() | Paul - That is very good. I have seen a few of these before and I have to admit they work well in class even with 16-18 year olds. Have to agree with Owen though it is more noise than music ![]() Ross
