![]() | I dunno why, but i find WW1 more attractive to read and study that WW2 ( does not mind i find it interest either ) ![]() Maybe due to the fact that WW2 depended on WW1, but the latter would have ocurred without the former. |

Aces of the Luftwaffe - Gerhard Barkhorn Anybody got any pictures of him wearing the decoration with his 'NATO' uniform? That kind of thing fascinates me. Aha, found one (though I can't make out Oakleaves?): http://dortch.supremeserver5.com/ima...Bahr2.jpeg.JPG How's that for an 'interesting' combination of Uniform & decorations on a Cold War high ranker.

![]() | Thank you gents, I am going to get to all the suggested readings. I read a book about SA fighter pilots that had not even downed more than three enemy throughout the war and for a pilot to slot such an amount of kills must be skill and oppertunaty in abundance. It also saddens my heart to think there was men in those aircraft. But then war is not pretty. Everybody had a job to do. Peter |

![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | You might elaborate on your quote, Lee. Are you doubting the Allied method of establishing kills then? ![]()

You chose dishonor and you will have war." Chamberlain returned from Germany with the signed agreement in hand, proclaiming that "peace in our time" had been achieved. Churchill attacked Chamberlain's "politics of appeasement" in this and many other speeches.) What did the Australians do in ww2 and other conflicts?
