German soldier found at Oosterbeek

Last wednesday another german soldier was found at the Westerbouwing in Oosterbeek, probably a KM/Hermann Goering soldier of the fighting against the Border Regiment.
With the body, there was a helmet,boots,cartridge and a Erkennungsmarke

As he was found last week, I will take months before any new information will turn up. the remains are now with Dutch War Grave unit.

Was the Erkennungsmarke found on him or near him? If it was on him the body should be easy to identify.

on the body, this is not always the case, although there is an EM, its not sure if they documents are known at the WASt, german war grave commision, as a number of documents were lost during bombardments during the war.
