Interesting thread Panzerschreck! He was one very lucky man, most of his comrades were killed even whilst trying to surrender.

If he was american or british there would be a statue of him right there on Omaha beach.Imagen the sign: "The guy that killed 2000 nazis, salute him", but he is german, and killing 2000 americans isn't a good thing.
