Well I wouldn't now (too old), but some of you may remember the oft quoted military expression:

If you can't take a joke, you shouldn't have joined!

They volunteered for a hard time on TV, so surely they had some pride to maintain in front of us millions.

I noted the one who was doing all the talking for the group who refused to do the cold water swim wants to become a member of parliament,could he be the replacement for,Jeff Hoon, I wonder. :P

Good series, excellent advert for our armed forces, shame in typical tv fashion no one checked over some of the historical points - almost last scene in last episode the producer chose to show the American National Cemetery at St Laurent (Omaha).

Considering the whole focus was on UK forces and with UK vets this was poor.

Ryan - You should know by now that the media never gets it right.

About 4 years ago I wrote to the Daily Mail after they had an article about the Battle of Arnhem. The picture they showed, claiming to be members of the Paras, were actually US paras.
I was quite chuffed when they printed my letter pointing out their error
