![]() | given the lack of asv radar and sonnar fitted to jap aircraft and ships then they would have to employ large numbers of assests to find the sub. also, I know it is hyperthetical but I am sure the axis would try and capture some form of bridgehead with which to maintain a base in the area.

![]() | I doubt Britain would let the Japanese or Axis use any of the ports in the Empire such as Singapore but I suppose many neutral nations would make millions of pound from selling arms to the nations.

There are a few more credible "what ifs" in the war against Japan, such as; - could the fall of Singapore have been prevented? - what if the US carriers were at Pearl Harbor when the Japanese attacked? - what if the Japanese had tried to invade Australia?
