World War 2 Graduation work

Hello to everyone.
I have got a graduation work (in English language), and the subject is "England in World War 2". I supposed I can get all the information from the Internet. I found a lot of WW2 thematic sites on google, but none of them is about England. Is there such a site where I can get information for my work? I need economic and social facts, even a bit in the whole Europe, from the beginning til the end of WW2.
Please, links needed!

Thank you.

Hello points.
Try the BBC website here.
http://www.bbc.co.uk/history/war/wwt...html#homefront
Also look up on google under "Home Front"
Good luck with your graduation work.
Hope Bosnia is a nice peaceful place now.

Watcha Points!
Just one little thing you need to watch, when you say England do you just mean England, or the whole British Isles? That could be why you aren't having much luck on the net. Try the United Kingdom or Great britain etc. Hope this helps.
Hope to visit your country one day. Maybe see you round...

I mean the whole British Isles. People here commonly say England, meaning The United Kingdom. Oh, and you're welcome here whenever you'd like to come!

The expression 'The Home Front' would be very handy for you, used as a generic term for blighty's(!) home efforts, try it in google for UK sites, it'll turn up lots like this:
http://www.learningcurve.gov.uk/homefront/default.htm
good luck...
sorry, just noticed home front already mentioned.... oh well...
This could be handy: http://www.wartimememories.co.uk/ - British attempt to collect peoples memories of ww2 before it's too late, should be a goldmine for essay writing....

I have a slight problem: I need a timeline of the most important events that happened in the UK during WW2. Then I could easily search for those on google. Anyway, the bbc's history site is great, but it's too reduntant. I would like to find a site that has it's all lined up, from the beggining until the end. Maybe I'm asking too much

How about that? Select year or different theatre on the right hand menu.

I've almost finished it. Here are the contents of my work:
Contents
1.Introduction
2.Britain in the Early Years of World War Two
2.1. War underway
3.Dunkirk

4.Battle of Britain

4.1.Civilian experience

4.2.The Home Front

5.Germany attacks Britain

5.1. No surrender

5.2. Ironside

5.3. A revised invasion plan

5.4. The ultimate target

5.5. German defeat

6.The Battle of the Atlantic

6.1. The U-boat peril

6.2. The crisis

7.Conclusion - Post WWII

7.1. A world in ruins

7.2. Opportunity For All 1944 - 49

Do you think I've maybe missed something important? From the sources you gave me, I realized there were not much important events that included the UK during the last years of WW2. The attack of Germany is the biggest part, because there is a lot of info about it on bbc.co.uk.
Thanx once again.
