adrian roberts is an unknown quantity at this point
He served throughout WW2 but won the GC (originally the Edward Medal) while painting council flats in Birmingham.
His uncle, Alfred Wilcox, was awarded a VC in 1918.

Interesting how life goes sometimes

Adrian

A GC and a VC in the same family. Having now read accounts of both occaisions leading to the awards I find myself wondering if there's some sort of genetic lack of respect for danger going on there.
Good stuff.
