Canadians at omaha beach?

What canadian division was among the first to ladn at Omaha? I can't find anythinga bout them, but apparently there was a canadian division taht assited at omaha beach.

Canadians didn't land at Omaha, they landed at Juno.

The only Canadians at Omaha were the RCN's 31st Canadian Minesweeping Flotilla who escorted U.S. forces to the beach.

Apart that is from Canadian officers on loan to British Divisions on what was know as the "CanloanScheme"
Quite a few of them.

I'm sure there were a few in the Royal Navy flotillas of landing craft that landed the Americans at Omaha Beach. A story not properly told until the recent, and highly recommended, "Omaha Beach," by Joe Balkoski.

Alright, thanks i know the canadians landed at Juno, just someone assured me that the Canadians participated in some way at Omaha, i thought they meant in actually landing, but it must have been the RCN's 31st Canadian Minesweeping Flotilla. Thanks again.

Well actually there was a canadian parachute battalion with the 6th airborne division, that landed southeast of sword.

The 1st Canadian Parachute Batallion dropped in, apart of the 6th AB...
