This worked ok Search results for: + 01/01/1940 31/12/1940 + WILTSHIRE REGIMENT. records found: 74
Search results for: + 01/01/1943 31/12/1943 + WILTSHIRE REGIMENT. records found: 59

Like I said, just can't do that on the CWGC site.

The BEF searches that I have done have shown me graves in village cemeteries which I couldn't find any other way.

I'm hoping that it will help me plot how particular units may have retreated to the coast. Very interesting so far.

Same here, would never known about this chap without this Search Engine. Only two in that cemetery.

CWGC :: Casualty Details

There are lots of them in ones and twos all over the place near Arras.

I cannot imagine that these small plots are ever visited by anyone interested. Anything which makes them more accesible is a good thing.

Rich (Planning my retreat to Dunkirk 2010 tour !)

I've just been doing the same as Rich with the 2nd Wilts lads.
One is in Poland, several scattered in little plots all the way up to Dunkirk.
Great help this search engine of Geoff's.

Ron,

You cannot enter 1945 as a year, you need to enter:

01/01/1945-31/12/1945

into the date field to specify a year. This should find him. This allows a date range to be used or enter a particular date as:

dd/mm/yyyy

I thought they saw action in the Desert at Alamein?
No casualties? Unless they recorded under another Corps? RAC maybe?
yeomanry.co.uk
try entering Royal Wiltshire Yeomanry into the unit text field. Yes they are down as RAC.
